Rareorlocalised A fine spreading specimen of a species rare in Victoria. This tree is multi-stemmed with six main limbs. and with leaves up to 150mm long, tomentose beneath, toothed or entire.Its small pear-shaped fruits are edible. Rare or localised Outstanding size The circa 1853 house was owned and developed by Edward Twentyman of the prominent architectural firmTwentyman and Askew. It stayed with the family between 1867 and 1996. Ficus palmata is rare in cultivation in Victoria and this impressive tree dominates the Bastings Street frontage of the garden.
